Religious preschool class is available for children aged 4-5 (the year before kindergarten).  This class, which takes place during the school year during 11 am Sunday morning Mass, provides the child with a religion readiness program, and begins introducing the child to basic Christian concepts.

For more information, to register your children, or to volunteer as a preschool teacher or helper, please contact the Religious Education Office at (269) 649-1629 ext. 27.

One of our most important callings as Christians is to instill the living faith in our children.  To assist parents in this duty, children in kindergarten through grade 5 are invited to participate in the religious education classes that meet weekly during the school year, on Wednesdays from 6:30 to 7:45 p.m.  Grades 6-12 meet on Sunday mornings from 9:30 to 10:40 a.m.

For information, to register your children, or to volunteer as a catechist or assist in any age group, please contact the Religious Education Office at (269) 649-1629 ext. 27.

Growth in your faith and in your relationship with God is a life-long pursuit which does not end with Confirmation.  Classes are held on Wednesday evenings and Sunday mornings when the children are attending classes.  In addition, special programs for adults are offered throughout the year, and are publicized through announcements at Mass and in the weekly bulletin.  Contact the Religious Education Office for more information.

The Pack the House program was started in 2008.  On the first Wednesday of each month a meal is prepared for the parish, then a featured speaker presents a topic of interest to the parish.  Some of the previous speakers have been Bishop James Murray, Monsignor Thomas Martin, Father Christian Johnston, and Deacon Kurt Lucas.

A summer program provides fun and learning for all ages—Bible stories, music, crafts, prayer.  Many volunteers begin planning in early spring for this week-long event.  Watch the bulletin for information.

All students in grades 6 through 12 are invited to be a part of the St. Martin’s “Youth Group”.  Students are invited to drop in to the “YC” (Youth Center) on Sunday evenings, and may bring a friend, to enjoy indoor (pool, board games, big screen TV) or outdoor (basketball and volleyball) activities.  Structured religious and learning activities are facilitated by the Youth Minister and Youth Ministry Team and attended by Parish Priest as his schedule allows. The YC is located under the Rectory and is open on Sunday evenings from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm September thru May and 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm June thru August.  Refreshments are provided, and the youth are encouraged to bring something to share.  The YC is chaperoned by two adult members of the Youth Ministry Team.  Students are also invited to participate in Catholic Heart Work Camp, Junior Work Camp, Youth Group, Youth Choir, retreats, and a variety of social and service activities.

Our Mission: Cultivating in our youth an awareness that they are a gift of God.

Our Vision: That all youth are prayerful, engaged with God, each other and the world around them, and become energetic leaders for our Church.
