Fully Alive Meeting Jesus in the Eucharist - 2025 Men’s Lenten Retreat Sponsored by the Knights of Columbus invites all men of St. Martin and St. Edward to take intentional time to more fully embrace this great season of Lent, which the Church offers for us to grow closer to our Leader, our King, our Savior! JANUARY 31 Bishop Bradley writes: "Every year on the Feast of the Presentation of the Lord on February 2nd, our Holy Father asks each Diocese to observe the “World Day of Prayer for Consecrated Life”, so that we can pray in a special way for the men and women whom the Lord has called to a special consecration within the Church, and who bring the unique and irreplaceable charisms from the Holy Spirit in helping to build up the Church and to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ. On that Day, we give thanks to God for the Gift of Consecrated Life, and we pray for and promote vocations to Consecrated Life."

Bradley released the following statement in light of the announcement on the appointment of the Sixth Bishop of the Diocese of Gaylord: “On behalf of the entire Church of Kalamazoo, in this Advent Season of Hope, we rejoice in today’s announcement by our Holy Father Pope Francis, naming Rev. Jeffrey J. Walsh, a priest of the Diocese of Scranton, as the Sixth Bishop of the Diocese of Gaylord. We join in prayers of thanksgiving with our Sister Diocese, as they prepare to welcome their new Bishop during their 50th Jubilee Year. I look forward to the opportunities we will have to collaborate with all the other Bishops for the good of the Church throughout Michigan. May Bishop-elect Walsh and all those entrusted to his Episcopal care be assured of the prayerful support of the Diocese of Kalamazoo during these weeks of transition.”

Giving Thanks in Troubled Times - A Thanksgiving Reflection from Bishop Paul J. Bradley

Bishop Bradley has issued, "Let our Hearts be In-Spired for Mission: A Pastoral Letter on the Holy Spirit" in conjunction with the Feast of our diocesan patron, St. Augustine. The Diocese opens its Jubilee Year of the Holy Spirit on August 28, 2021.

The Diocese of Kalamazoo has released the following statement from Bishop Paul J. Bradley on the Motu Proprio*, Traditionis Custodes/Guardians of the Tradition, released today by Pope Francis. In the Motu Proprio, Pope Francis has returned the responsibility for when and where the pre-Vatican II liturgy according to the 1962 Missal may be celebrated to the local diocesan bishop, reversing an earlier Motu Proprio from Pope Benedict XVI. The new directive will have an impact on where and when the Faithful will be able to participate in the traditional Latin Mass.

Beginning July 1, 2021, several Diocese of Kalamazoo pastoral ministry outreach offices will join the Catholic Charities Diocese of Kalamazoo agency. The transition allows for an expansion of resources for Catholic Charities in the areas of immigration assistance, outreach to the Hispanic/Latino and migrant population, social services to the Benton Harbor community, as well as advocacy and programs related to pro-life and persons with disabilities issues.

In a Letter to the Faithful on the Eucharist, Bishop Bradley encourages all to return to the full practice of the Faith and embrace the teachings of the true meaning of the Gift of the Eucharist as the Real Presence of Jesus.
